Original Work

Knock Sniff

was a collaboratively created performance investigating the nature of truth -seeking and its implications on our engagement with climate change.

To the right is a performance photo from Knock Sniff at Lewis and Clark College in 2018.

Performed by Roan Shea, Skye Telleen, Aria Ballance, and Evan Howell (not pictured) , directed by Roan Shea.

Roan is interested in making work that examines intimacy and the cultural barriers that disrupt it- intimacy between people as well as the intimacy that exists between people and truth.

His creations are highly physical- deeply inspired by his training in Viewpoints and the Suzuki method, as well as his work in Environmental Studies which serves as a foundational reminder to consider the uniqueness of the contexts in which we find our lives.
